INTRODUCTION TO HOMILETICS (HM-2100)

SPRING 2024

This course prepares students to preach the good news of the gospel in contemporary communities of faith, with special emphases on the art and vocation of preaching, responsible interpretation of texts and contexts, theologies of preaching, and listener/congregationalengagement and formation. This course will incorporate lectures, discussions, written and creative assignments, collaborative classroomactivities, textual and audiovisual sermon analysis, student preaching and peer evaluations. Limited to CDSP students only.

Limited to CDSP students only. Course meets M-F, 6/3/24-6/14/24 (excluding T 6/11/24) from 8am-11:30am at CDSP.
