C/PC CLINICAL PASTORAL ED (PS-2061)

This introductory course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts, theories, dynamics, issues and skills necessary for effective pastoral care and counseling. It will examine the primary modes of pastoral care, including visitation, counseling, rituals, spiritual guidance. This class will explore how pastoral care is distinguished from and yet interfaces with the ministries of preaching, education, evangelism, text, music, and social justice.
