Course Memo

SPRING 2022: This course introduces students to the study of liturgy and its practice in worshipping communities. We will examine the nature of ritual; dimensions of Christian liturgy, including symbol, space, time, texts, and music; and the historical development of Christian liturgy, with some attention to the development of worship in Anglican tradition. Intended for students (MDiv, MA, MTS) who are preparing for ordination and/or liturgical leadership. [Auditors with Faculty Permission]

SUMMER 2022: This course introduces students to the study of liturgy and its practice in worshiping communities. Evaluation includes written assignments, projects, and a final exam. Intended for students (MDiv, MA, MTS) who are preparing for ordination and/or liturgical leadership. Course meets M-F, 6/13/22-6/17/22, and T-Sat, 6/21/22-6/25/22, from 8am-11:30am at CDSP. [Auditors with faculty permission]
