THE CROWNING OF THE SALVIFIC YEAR - THE YEAR IN OUR LORD: THE ORTHODOX LITURGICAL YEAR. A liturgical life is essential in understanding the Orthodox Church's perspective to salvation. The christological events come to life through liturgical expression, not to historicize them, but rather to live them as a vehicle that transports human beings through the mystery of the Church and one's own quest for theosis or divine union with God.
