The Passion Narratives - This course will examine the meaning of the suffering and death of Jesus through close readings of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - from Gethsemane to the resurrection. Students will be asked to give close readings of texts to discover how each gospel contributes its unique interpretation of the arrest, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
