SPIRITUALITY OF FEMALE MYSTICS (SP-4701)

This class will focus on primary texts by female contemplatives. It will examine the relationship between contemplation and social engagement. We will begin with medieval women and continue to modern African American and other women. We use the term mystics very broadly, using writings by women to expand and deepen our understanding of this term.
