REFORMED WORSHIP (LSFT-2525)

(09/07/2021-12/17/2021)

Course Memo

This course is designed to introduce students to the nature and practice of worship and the sacraments in the Reformed Tradition, in conversation with other religious traditions. It will equip you with invaluable theories, approaches, and practices for in-person and hybrid worship. Worship and the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper are studied biblically, historically, and theologically, as well as in contemporary settings. Ritual and pastoral issues attendant to the celebration of weddings, funerals, and other offices are examined. Lecture and discussion materials relevant to the PC (USA) Ordination Exams are included.
