THE HOLY SPIRIT, PRAYER, AND TRAUMA (ST-2015)

(01/31/2022-05/20/2022)

Course Memo

This survey course provides a foundational theological understanding of historical developments in the theology of the Holy Spirit, and a constructive application of pneumatology in current pastoral contexts. The two contexts (among many possible ones) on which we will focus in this course are prayer and healing from trauma. The format of the course incorporates lecture, discussion, presentation, short weekly written reflections, a midterm examination, and the option of a final examination or final paper. The course is an introductory Foundational Course in Systematic Theology and meets the requirements as such for the MDiv program at JST. It would also address the needs and interests of MTS, and MA students from across the GTU. [25 max enrollment]
