Course Memo

This doctoral level course is required for GTU Ph.D. students (primarily intended for those in the Religion and Practice area who foresee teaching homiletics). The course is designed to equip students to recognize and reflect on best practices in teaching preaching at the master’s level. The course consists of observing, participating in, and reflecting on various components of the introductory preaching course – HM-2245. In addition, the course will include a seminar-style component in which students will reflect on course observations and course readings, as well as workshop various writing assignments that lead to the final paper. Meets Tuesday 9:40 am - 12:30 pm with HM-2245 and 1:00 - 2:00 pm for the seminar portion of the course.
