SPRING 2025

In this course, the student is given the fundamental elements of preaching, preparation of Scriptural text for proclamation, the study and prayer over the text of Scripture, the composition of a homily founded upon and flowing from the text to facilitate an encounter with Jesus and His saving grace and the actual practice of proclaiming the Scriptures and preaching upon them. In this course, the student will explore the elements of preaching within the context of the liturgy of the Church and its celebration of the sacraments. [HM 1073 Foundations of Preaching; Faculty Consent required; 12 max enrollment]

SPRING 2026
